3. Approve minutes 17 May 2026

After amendment to ARW in minutes from 17 June 2026. Proposed by Cllr Mclaughlin, seconded by Cllr Morrow; all in favour.

 

4. County Council matters

None as Cllr Vernon not in attendance

 

5. District Council matters

None - Cllr Robins not in attendance.

 

6. Planning issues - verbal report from the Planning Working Group

 

S26/0858 3 High Street. Demolish prefabricated garage, erect a new garage in a new position. Recommendation - Support.

S26/0873 9 Pinfold Road - Fence erected over a right of way/footpath. Reported to Fix My Street

 

7. Amenities Working Group report.

Cllr Mclaughlin - Confirmation from Planning Officer no consent required for maintenance of the Village Sign. Repair budget of £2000 - with quote received from Richard Pyne of £1925. The committee voted all in favour to commence work, further to receipt of a Risk Assessment and Method Statement.

 

Consideration given to re-purposing of the existing red telephone box on check if it is on the Parish Council Asset Register. Opportunity for parishioners to propose future use will be sought.

 

Cemetery expenses - budget of £750. Bushes will require £380 and grass cutting and weed clearance requires £380. The committee voted - all in favour.

10. Accounts

Payment required to AIMS Accountants for AGAR calculation.

£2500 to be moved from Unallocated to Fixed Asset Management, and £750 to Ongoing Maintenance.

It was noted that no grant applications as yet have been received from the usual beneficiaries.

 

11. Burial Committee Matters

None

 

12. Councillors’ verbal reports

Cllr Mclaughlin - Local Minerals Plan. Local concerns include Creeton Quarry extension affecting transport and access - a Transport Statement is forthcoming and CBPC will request a copy.

Cllr Sismey-Durrant The spoil heap on Station Road.

 

13. AOB

Local Government Plan - Cllrs Brooman, Dugmore, Hammond and will attend Grantham consultation on 28 July.
