During the Public Forum two residents of Glen Road voiced concerns regarding the lack of accessible parking and access, and presented a petition and a ‘Proposal for Accessibility and Safety Improvements. The Chair assured them that CBPC would ensuer their would be a grit bin placed for residents use, LC Cllr Vernon agreed this would be done. Cllr Mclaughlin will move this concern up to SKDC and contact CB Midsummer Festival regarding residents’ parking during the weekend of the Festival.

- Approve minutes
The record of the meeting held on 21 January 2026 was approved by the Chair. Proposed by Cllr Goode, seconded by Cllr Morrow. All in favour.
- Matters arising
Appointment of Clerk. It was noted that two applications had been received. The Chair stated a date for interviews would be arranged and the Personnel committee would report at the next meeting.
- County Council matters
Cllr Vernon:
- Speed concerns - a paper version of the recent online petition would be required to present to LCC
- LCC Council Tax rise of 2.9% had been proposed
- Educare Service offering pre-care child support provision within Lincolnshire
- Local Government - consultation opening on 26/3/2026
- Lincolnshire Fire Service Cadets for 13-18 year olds starting in Grantham
- A1 gap closures (mostly farm access) reported. Next stage being scheduled closures following consultation to National Highways incluiding Great Ponton due to number of recorded accidents.
- District Council matters
None
- Planning issues - verbal report from the Planning Working Group
- S26/0138 felling of a dead tree - work allowed.
- S25/1096 - barn conversion. Allowed by appeal and approval for six dwellings.
- No.9 Pinfold Road - concern over state of ground after removal of stored materials.
- Community Speed Watch
Seven volunteers + Cllr Mclaughlin to volunteer for the CSW and will email Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership. Training will be available after certification of volunteers and maybe shared with other interested local parish councils.
- Amenities Working Group report.
Cllr Hayward:
- New cemetry sign was now in storage.
- Grass contractor presently renewing the required credentials.
- Village sign - awaiting quote
- Parish council notice board - reduce number from 4 to 2 and renovate them
- Asset register to be checked
- New road sign at top of St. Martins has been renovated and nearly finished (Inser parisherner’s name?)
- Burial Committee Matters
Cllr Hayward: stone-mason’s proposal - agreed
- Correspondence
- LCC Flood monitoring - the locations of monitors agreed.
- LGR: Consultation ends on 26/3/2026. This will be added to March’s Agenda.
- Accounts
- The Chair stated new dog waste bags purchased
- CBPC Concil Tax precept submitted to SKDC.
- Councillors’ verbal reports
Cllr Heyward: Patient Paticpation survey at Glenside Surgery is ongoing.
Cllr Mclaughlin: The digitisation of the Cemetry records and all Parish Concil records. A report covering requirements and costs will be forthcoming.
Chair: The CBPC website has been updated.
- AOB
The Clerk: a litter picking team of volunteers will be formed to assist those already undertaking this.
Chair: a stipend for necessary resources and organising the collection of bags available.
