2.Approve minutes 21 May 2025
The record of the meeting held on 21 May was approved as minutes and signed by the Chairman. Proposed by Cllr Hayward, seconded by Cllr Dugmore, all in favour.

4.County Council matters
The Councillors congratulated County Cllr C Vernon on her election as County Councillor.
County Cllr Vernon said that she was now Shadow Executive Councillor for Highways at LCC. National Grid are planning two very large projects which will have an impact on Highways; Cllr Vernon will attend an open session organised by National Grid in South Witham on 4 July. A lot of information on pylons and construction traffic is available on the National Grid website. Worries and concerns were being put forward. A meeting will be arranged to discuss Highways’ idea for double yellow lines in the High Street to alleviate parking issues near the pubs. Cllr Brooman said that consultation was essentaial and that a meeting will be arranged with the Castle Inn owners.There were now 44 Reform Councillors and 14 Conservative Councillors at LCC. Cllr Vernon will find out from District Cllr P Robins the timeframe for the new application at the 14A Station Road site; the application was submitted to SKDC in April but has not yet been validated - as a result, no enforcement to remove the heap of soil at that location can be executed.

6.Planning issues - verbal report from the Planning Working Group
Cllr McLaughlin said that the Planning Working Group met with the agents for application S25/0863; the new house, first dwelling at the edge of the village will be the gateway into the village and landscaping will be important.
7.Planning. A S25/0863 - Mr & Mrs Jamie & Megan Colvin. Demolition of existing dwelling and the erection of a replacement dwelling. The Bungalow, Clipsham Road, Castle Bytham. The Councillors had the following comments: the Parish Council wishes to emphasise how important landscaping is to this application in this location at the gateway to the village. The Parish Council appreciates the effort put in by the applicant into the use of local materials and acknowledgement of the situation as the first property at the entrance to the village. The Parish Council requests that all deliveries, materials, contractors’ transport and welfare facilities are located within the development site and not on the verge of Clipsham Road. B) S25/0869 - Angela Davies. Erection of free standing single timber framed garage. Stoneybrook Cottage, 12 Water Lane, Castle Bytham. The Councillors had no comments on this application.
Cllr Brooman said that the Enforcement Officer at SKDC will not be taking any action regarding work having started prior to planning application approval because an application had now been submitted.
S25/0406 - Certificate of lawful use or development(proposed) was refused by SKDC - Hawthorns, 9 Castlegate
8.Amenities Working Group report
Cllr Hayward said that maintenance work at the playing field will start at the end of July. A quote will be sought for the removal of ivy on the Austrian Pine at the cemetery.

Cllr Brooman said that £2700 had not yet been allocated; some of the monies will be used for playing field repairs.

Cllr McLaughlin said that Councillors will be presenting prizes at the Midsummer Festival.
Cllr Morrow will make the owners of Albemarle Cottage aware that the hedge protrudes on Pinfold Road
