Minutes of the meeting held on 19 November 2015

During the Public Forum residents voiced concerns regarding the heap of spoil at 14A Station Road has not been removed - a resident said they will instruct a solicitor and involve local media outlets. Another resident spoke of speeding issues in the parish - these were answered by District Cllr P Robins.

2. Approval of minutes 15 October 2025
The record of the meeting held on 15 October 2015 was approved by Cllr Mclaughlin and signed by the Chairperson. Proposed by Cllr Dugmore, seconded by Cllr Hayward, all in favour.
3. Matters arising
Ben Cullis was introduced as a potential interim clerk
Heap of spoil - a resident said they will instruct a solicitor and involve local media outlets. District Cllr P Robins said tehy will liaise with DC on this matter. Concern shared by Chairperson and Cllrs as the spoil is in a consevation area, possible water run-off onto a djoining property and the highway.
A resident spoke concening speeding lorries in the parish via Morkery Wood, and that the 'SLOW' sign previously sited as not been replaced, and that there is no 'LOW BRIDGE' sign off the A1. Disctrict Cllr P Robins said she would speak with the resident regarding these matters.

6. District Council Matters
Cllr Vernon not present. District Cllr P Robins had nothing to report.
7. Planning Matters - verbal report form the Planning Working Group
Cllr Goode reported on 2 applications.
A) Cappela Cottage, 15/30 agreeing with the objection. An email from CBPC will be formally drafted formally objecting to it.
B) S25/2071 6 Glenside. Removal of tree. Cllrs had no comments on this application.
8. Planning issues
S25/1902 Water Lane. 2 objections received to date. There has been no record of consultations have been sent to neighbouring properties. Cllr Mclaughlin asked if a site visit was required. Cllrs recommended an objection on this application.
9. Community Speed Watch

10. Amenities Working Group report.
Cllr Hayward said the final cut of the Church grounds by Mr Johnstone had been completed and that he would be taking a tour of the Paish grass areas over the coming weeks to ensure everything is satisfactory. He noted that on inspection, flowers were being left in an area of the graveyard and asked if a funds might be available to site a suitable waste bin. The pile of logs in the recreation field needed attantion, maybe a case of them being made available as fuel if removed as a single load?
11. Personnel Committee
Cllr Mclaughlin proposed that if as was required a new clerk was to be appointed, a Personnel Committee should be formed to undertake this task. This was agreed by all Cllrs present. Cllr Brooman would head the committee. Tasks involve placing a notice in the CBPC Notice boards and placing an ad in the Glenside.

13. Burial Committee matters
Cllr Hayward reported there had been a request for an interment of ashes on a family plot. This would be proved at the cost of £342 to the PC.

Cllr Brooman being absent, there was no report.

Cllr Haywards poppies sited throughout the village ahd been well received.
